Christian Quiñonez

Assistant Program Director

Providence

Christian was born and raised in Providence, RI. After completing General Studies at the Community College of Rhode Island, he transferred to Rhode Island College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2019. While in college, Christian worked full time as a teacher’s aide in Providence Public Schools, where he developed a love for education and youth development.
Over the next eight years, he supported students in a variety of roles, including seven years as a teacher assistant, three years as a substitute teacher, and work as a behavior specialist using applied behavior analysis (ABA). These experiences deepened his commitment to helping young people grow both academically and personally.
As Assistant Program Director at SquashBusters Providence, Christian oversees the academic and squash programming that together form the heart of the organization’s mission: combining rigorous academics, the sport of squash, and community service to help middle and high school students succeed in school, in college, and in life. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he is especially committed to building strong relationships with students and families across Providence.
Christian is passionate about education, equity, and social justice, and he is excited to continue developing programs that empower students to thrive on and off the court.
