College-Bound

SquashBusters continues to bat just under 100% these past four years in sending all of its graduating seniors to college. This year, we are pleased to congratulate Humzah Mahmood and Paulo DaMoura on their acceptances and full scholarships to Boston University, and Kilsy Soto for her successful matriculation to Fisher College.

These three college-bound alums join forty three other SquashBusters alums already studying in colleges such as Harvard, Northeastern, UMass-Amherst, Bates, Smith, Tufts, Boston College and Bryn Mawr, to name a few.

Due to expanding our high school capacity to 80 students, building two exciting ninth grade partnerships with Green Academy and Fenway High School, and recruiting a new class of middle school students every year, from this point forward SquashBusters will ensure that it supports successful high school graduation and college enrollment of 15-20 students per year.

SquashBusters isn’t just successful at getting students to college. We also make sure they get through college with a degree in hand. Since 1996, 64% of the students we have sent to college have graduated four years later. This metric compares very favorably to the four year college graduation rate of 25% for Boston PublicSchool students as a whole.
